Introduction

 

Camp Nirvana Singapore (CNS) is an annual freshmen orientation camp organised by NTU Buddhist Society to welcome new students, as well as to broaden the horizons of youths with interest to learn and foster a deeper understanding in Buddhism.


The theme for CNS 2009 is "The very first moment we meet". It creates a chance for the forging of bonds and friendship between committee members and also among the participants.

  • Team bonding games

  • A series of physical activities lined up by the programmers, including ice-breakers and team-building activities planned in line with our theme and in accordance with the Dharma.


  • Dharma talks

  • Venerables will be invited to give Dharma talks as to lead us of how to manage a busy life and be at peace with ourselves. Each dharma talk is so enriching and leaves us feeling inspired and ready to face every new day!


  • Meditation sessions

  • Meditation helps us to develop peace, calmness and concentration. It also goes further in training the mind and developing wholesome mental qualities.


  • Song singing

  • A more relaxing program of the day where all of us enjoy singing songs together. We will also get to learn the actions or dances created by our seniors to coordinate with the songs.
